IMMIGRATION IN THE U. S.
The immigration in the United States increased greatly due to the opening of jobs and the new opportunities. The country became more diverse and was introduced to more culture from all over the world. The immigrants came in to seek religious freedom and to find a better future, unfortunately most of them ended up living in poverty and in the slums. Most immigrants came into America only to find that the cities were starting to become overpopulated forcing them to live on the street. This created many diseases and the amount of slums increased. This made the United States have a bad reputation due to the mass of people living on the streets. |
IMMIGRATION IN GERMANY
Many people immigrated to Germany during their Industrial Revolution because of job opportunities with machines, factories, and construction. During the Industrial Revolution, the population of German cities doubled, tripled, and quadrupled. Most of the immigrants came to their highest populated city, Berlin. Cities like Berlin expanded rapidly in size. These cities are called the immigration hotspots or Industrial centers. However, most of the German immigration during the Industrial revolution was to the United States. Over millions of germans left for reasons like political upheaval in Germany, job opportunities, and a better chance in long term success. It was a variety of things like this because it was complete families immigrating over. It was almost never just a single reason to immigrate to the United States. |
